Death of a soul

Darkness scares me, and so do men
My soul lies ripped, torn and slain
My heart pounds hard, as memories haunt me
That torturous night, when men cornered me
The moon screamed aloud, stars couldn’t speak
As the night swooped on me, and devoured my shriek
It was ten years ago, but my scars are still raw
Such a trauma, such a horror, never again I saw
The sky was aghast, the leaves murmured a protest
As my clothes were torn, and my soul laid to rest
Rain pelted down, as the men moved away
It washed over my body till the outbreak of day
I bled, I sweated, I shrieked in my fear
The merciful rain blended faithfully with my tear
No more ambition left, I have now no goal
My body stays alive, it is the death of a soul…..

  1. This was a very chilling tale of a woman so innocently robbed.. of God's most precious gift.. you captured her feelings very well.. it was simply tragic.
